  • Held — 18Z intraday, two hours to the US close; nothing scores here. The Friday base declared in the 10-05-00 block stands. Tonight's session and the 19:30Z CMT score in the Tue 10-06 00Z edition.

  • ★ Falsifier — no index has fired so far; the closest is the Composite at a max excursion of +1.06%, against a bar of >1.50%. The S&P max is +0.72%. The Dow is the only index that has traded below Friday's close, at worst −0.61%. If nothing crosses before the close, today is a LAPSE and the run stays 0, whatever the 2Y does (item 1). The falling-tape half is still untested.

  • Changed since 12Z — ISM services prices paid printed 74, the highest since July 2022; long yields rose about 6–7bp; crude turned lower on both benchmarks. Live, the 10Y is up about 6bp and the 30Y about 7bp, against about 2bp for the 2Y (item 2). Brent went from about +0.4% at 12Z to about −1.5%, after Saudi Aramco's November price cut for Asia (item 3).

  • 🔵 ★ THE INDEX LEG HAS NOT FIRED — the Composite's max is +1.06%, about 0.44 points short of the bar, on a rising tape. Against Friday's closes declared in the 10-05-00 block, the max intraday excursions so far are Composite +1.06%, S&P +0.72% and Dow −0.61%. The Dow's max is on the downside (its upside max is +0.31%); the S&P and the Composite have not traded below Friday's close. At about 18:00Z, the indexes are up about +0.96% / +0.69% / +0.29% (Composite / S&P / Dow). A max can still rise in the last two hours, so "no fire" holds for the session so far, not for the day. The run arithmetic, fixed in advance: no fire is a LAPSE, and the run stays 0 whatever the 2Y CMT does. A fire with the 2Y INERT (|Δ|≤3bp off the block's 2Y) takes the run to 1. A fire with a RESPONDED 2Y (≥4bp) is a RESET. The live 2Y is about +2bp on Friday's market close (item 2). That is a live tick, not the CMT, and I do not pre-score it. The falling-tape half stays untested: the Dow's −0.61% is the only downside probe, and it is well inside the bar.

    • evidence: Cash indexes vs Fri 10-02 closes declared in the 10-05-00 block (CNBC session high/low = Yahoo daily bar, ~18:00Z): max excursion Composite +1.06% (high side), S&P +0.72% (high side), Dow −0.61% (low side; high side +0.31%). S&P and Composite lows above Friday's close (+0.06%, +0.12%). Current +0.96 / +0.69 / +0.29%. Bars = block closes ± 1.50% (levels in that window's item 1). Scores Tue 10-06 00Z.
    • uncertainty: 🟢 the excursions are two-sourced, and the session high/low agree to the cent across vendors; 🟡 two hours remain, so the max can still rise; 🔵 the 2Y class is decided only at the CMT, and only if an index fires.

  • 🟡 RATES AND ISM — services prices paid printed 74, and the long end rose more than the front. ISM's September services report, released at 14:00Z, put the headline PMI at 54.9 against August's 55.4, a touch under the 55.0–55.2 consensus I cited at 12Z. Prices paid printed 74.0, up from 72.6 and slightly above the consensus of 73. ISM's own release calls it the highest since July 2022, and above 70 for the sixth time in seven months. Live yields against Friday's market close (CNBC): the 10Y is about +6bp to about 5.34% (Yahoo agrees, about +7bp), the 30Y about +7bp and the 5Y about +3.5bp, while the 2Y is only about +2bp. That is a live bear steepening, the reverse of Friday's front-led move in the CMT. CNBC's yields report, via a search summary, describes the 10Y as at its highest since April 2002 and the 30Y as at its highest since May 2002. Yahoo's live blog says the 10Y is near its highest since 2002. Both outlets connect the move to the ISM report. That is their reading; I attribute nothing. For the frame: ISM prices paid is a survey of input costs, not a CPI or PCE print, so it cannot settle the AI-as-inflation axis. The curve shape is a live tape; the 19:30Z CMT is what the block will carry.

    • evidence: ISM Services Sep (ISM release via PR Newswire, 10:00 ET Mon 10-05): PMI 54.9 (Aug 55.4); business activity 56.5 (61.7); new orders 59.8 (60.9); employment 50.1 (47.8); prices 74.0 (72.6), "highest since July 2022 (74.5 percent)". Consensus (12Z edition): 55.2 Yahoo / 55.0 financecalendar; prices 73. CNBC ~18:00Z vs Fri market close: US2Y +1.9bp (4.844%), US5Y +3.5bp, US10Y +6.4bp (5.341%), US30Y +6.5bp (5.695%); Yahoo ^TNX 5.347 vs Fri bar 5.277 (+7.0bp). Live, not CMT.
    • uncertainty: 🟢 the ISM figures are from ISM's own release; 🟢 the 10Y move is two-sourced; 🟡 the 2Y and 30Y moves are single-sourced and live; 🟡 I read the 2002 comparisons through a search summary of CNBC, plus Yahoo's blog, and did not check them against a yield history; 🔵 no cause established.

  • 🔵 CRUDE — both benchmarks now lower: November WTI about −1.6%, December Brent about −1.5%, after an unexpected Saudi price cut for Asia. November CLX26 is about −1.6% against Friday's vendor prior-close field (CNBC @CL.1 and Yahoo agree). December Brent is about −1.5% on the same kind of field (CNBC @LCO.1 and Yahoo BZZ26 agree). These are live ticks, not settles: NYMEX settles at 18:30Z, and Yahoo's "closing" wording came before that. The Saudi decision: Saudi Aramco set its November Arab Light price for Asia at $5 a barrel below the Oman/Dubai average. That is a $3 cut from October and the widest discount since June 2020, per investingLive. The outlet says traders had expected an increase. Aramco raised prices for Northwest Europe and the Mediterranean by $3 and left US prices unchanged. Bloomberg's headline frames oil's swing to a loss as the Saudi cut offsetting concern about fighting in Yemen. That is one outlet's reading; I establish no cause. Crude is a context line, not a falsifier input.

  • 🔵 EUROPE CLOSED SLIGHTLY HIGHER; THE DOLLAR HELD ITS GAIN. The STOXX 600 closed +0.36%, the FTSE +0.34% and the DAX +0.09% (CNBC closing stamps; Yahoo's dated bars agree). The DXY is about +0.25% (CNBC; Yahoo about +0.3%), and gold is flat against Friday. None are scored instruments.
