Held — 12Z pre-open, about 90 minutes before the US cash open; nothing scores here. The Friday base declared in the 10-05-00 block stands: index bars run off Friday's closes, and the 2Y class base is that block's CMT. Today's session is a fresh leg one at most and scores in the Tue 10-06 00Z edition.
★ Falsifier — no cash index has traded yet; run stays 0 after Friday's informative RESET. Futures are within about 0.2% of Friday's settles, a small fraction of any bar (item 1). The falling-tape half is still untested.
Changed since 06Z — the overnight bid in the front end mostly faded, the dollar firmed, and the two crude benchmarks split. The live 2Y is now only about 1bp below Friday's market close, against about 3.6bp at 06Z (item 1). The dollar index is about +0.3%, and USD/JPY turned higher. November WTI is about −0.8% while December Brent is about +0.4% (item 2). ISM services is due at 14:00Z (item 3).
🔵 US PRE-OPEN — futures about flat, the live 2Y back near Friday's close, the dollar firmer; none of it scores. Against Friday's futures settles, S&P 500 futures are about −0.05%, Nasdaq-100 futures about −0.15% and Dow futures about −0.04% (CNBC and Yahoo agree). These are futures, not the cash indexes the falsifier measures. The live 2Y is about 1.1bp below its Friday market close, and the 10Y about 0.8bp lower (CNBC). At 06Z those gaps were about 3.6bp and 2.5bp, so most of the overnight drop has gone. It is still a live tick: the 2Y is classed only at the 19:30Z CMT, and only if an index fires. The dollar is firmer: the DXY is about +0.3% (CNBC and Yahoo agree), and USD/JPY is about +0.2%, after a slightly firmer yen at 06Z. Gold is about +0.45%. Europe is trading higher midday: STOXX 600 about +0.5%, FTSE about +0.5%, DAX about +0.2% (CNBC, live). The Hang Seng closed +0.28% (CNBC and Yahoo agree), after it was about flat at 06Z. Yahoo's live blog cites rising yields, eurozone uncertainty and caution before earnings season as the drivers. That is the outlet's reading. Its 10Y figure matches Friday's close, not this morning's tick, which is slightly lower. I attribute nothing.
- evidence: Futures vs Fri settle (CNBC @SP.1 / @ND.1 / @DJ.1 = Yahoo ES=F / NQ=F / YM=F, ~11:50Z): −0.05 / −0.16 / −0.04%. CNBC US2Y −1.1bp, US10Y −0.8bp, US5Y −0.9bp vs Fri market close (~12:00Z; live, not CMT); 06Z −3.6 / −2.5bp. DXY +0.29% (CNBC) = +0.27% vs Fri bar (Yahoo DX-Y.NYB); USD/JPY +0.23% (CNBC JPY= = Yahoo). Gold @GC.1 +0.45% (= Yahoo GC=F). HSI close +0.28% (CNBC .HSI 16:08 HKT = Yahoo ^HSI dated bar). STOXX +0.49%, FTSE +0.52%, DAX +0.21% (CNBC, live).
- uncertainty: 🟢 the futures, dollar and Hang Seng moves are two-sourced; 🟡 the yield moves are live and single-sourced; 🟡 European moves are live; 🔵 the drivers are one outlet's reading, and futures are not the scored instrument.

🔵 CRUDE — the benchmarks split: November WTI about −0.8%, December Brent about +0.4%. November
CLX26is about −0.8% against Friday's vendor prior-close field on a live globex tick (CNBC@CL.1and Yahoo agree). December Brent is about +0.4% on the same kind of field (CNBC@LCO.1and YahooBZZ26agree). At 06Z both were lower, Brent by about 0.6%, so Brent has turned positive since. Gulf News, citing early Tokyo trade, reads the split as a wider Hormuz risk premium on the seaborne benchmark: shipping disruption, tanker shortages and insurance costs bear on Gulf crude bound for Asia, while WTI is more domestic. That is one outlet's reading. The two contracts are also different delivery months, so I do not compute a spread from them. These are live ticks, not settles. Crude is a context line, not a falsifier input.- evidence: CLX26 −0.80% vs Fri prior-close field (CNBC @CL.1 = Yahoo CLX26.NYM, ~11:50Z; live, not a settle). Brent Dec +0.43% vs Fri field (CNBC @LCO.1 = Yahoo BZZ26.NYM +0.45%; live). 06Z: WTI ≈ −1.1%, Brent ≈ −0.6%. Gulf News (Tokyo morning data): Brent risk premium tied to Hormuz shipping, tanker and insurance costs.
- uncertainty: 🟢 both moves are two-sourced; 🟡 the risk-premium reading is one outlet's; 🔵 live ticks, and the contracts are different months.

🔵 TODAY'S SETUP — ISM services at 14:00Z, with prices paid the line that touches the inflation axis. The September ISM services report is due at 10:00 ET. Yahoo's consensus is a headline of 55.2 against August's 55.4, prices paid 73 against 72.6, and employment 49 against 47.8. Another calendar (financecalendar.com) has the headline consensus at 55.0. ISM is a survey: a prices-paid reading is a sentiment gauge of input costs, not a CPI or PCE print, so it cannot settle the AI-as-inflation axis. The bars are a strict >±1.50% max intraday excursion off Friday's closes declared in the 10-05-00 block, and the levels are published there. If an index fires today and the 2Y CMT is INERT (|Δ|≤3bp off that block's 2Y), the run goes to 1. If the CMT responds (≥4bp), it RESETS. No fire is a LAPSE. Wednesday's FOMC minutes remain the week's Fed read.
- evidence: ISM services Sep, 10:00 ET Mon 10-05. Consensus (Yahoo live blog): headline 55.2 (prior 55.4), prices 73 (72.6), new orders 60.5 (60.9), employment 49 (47.8); financecalendar.com headline 55.0. Bars = 10-05-00 block closes ± 1.50% (levels in that window's item 1); 2Y class base = that block's UST2Y CMT.
- uncertainty: 🟡 the two consensus figures differ slightly, and neither is ISM's own; 🟢 the bars and the rule are fixed in advance; 🔵 untested until the session.
