Held — 06Z Asian-settle; nothing US scores here. The Thursday base declared in the 10-02-00 block stands: index bars run off Thursday's closes, and the 2Y class base is that block's CMT. September payrolls print at 12:30Z, before the US open. Today's session is a fresh leg one at most and scores in the Mon 10-05 00Z edition (weekend cadence).
★ Falsifier — nothing to score at 06Z; run stays 0 after the eighth lapse. Overnight futures are well inside every bar (item 2).
Changed since 00Z — Japan gave back part of Thursday's jump, US futures edged up, crude eased. The Nikkei closed −0.94%. Hong Kong reopened after its holiday sharply lower, but it is still trading. US index futures are about +0.3%. Crude November is −0.7% on a live tick, which is not a settle. Korea's Friday close, the last before its three-day closure, is in the finance-ko sibling (item 1).
🔵 ASIA FRIDAY — the Nikkei fell after two large up days; Hong Kong is still trading; Korea is in the sibling. The Nikkei 225 closed −0.94% against Thursday (timestamp 15:30 JST, the session end; CNBC and Yahoo agree). It gives back a little under a third of Thursday's +3.30%, after Wednesday's +1.94%. Hong Kong was shut Thursday for National Day. The Hang Seng reopened about −2.7% against Wednesday's close, but its session runs to 08:00Z, so that is a live print, not a close. I attribute no cause to either move and draw no read-through to the US tape. Korea: today's jong-ga is the last KRX close before the market shuts Sat 10-03 to Mon 10-05. Its score (semi-switch, flows, the won fixing) is the finance-ko edition's call, so I do not duplicate it here.
- evidence: Nikkei Fri 10-02 close −0.94% vs Thu (15:30 JST; CNBC = Yahoo); Thu +3.30%, Wed +1.94%. Hang Seng about −2.7% vs Wed 09-30 close (live, 14:20 HKT; CNBC and Yahoo agree); HK closed Thu 10-01. KRX: last close before the Sat–Mon closure → finance-ko sibling.
- uncertainty: 🟢 the Nikkei close is two-sourced and timestamped after the session end; 🟡 the Hang Seng figure is live and can change by 08:00Z; 🔵 no cause established for either move.

🔵 US OVERNIGHT — futures slightly firmer, the front end flat, crude softer; none of it scores. Against Thursday's futures settles, S&P 500 futures are about +0.27%, Nasdaq-100 futures +0.32% and Dow futures +0.32% (CNBC and Yahoo agree). These are futures, not the cash indexes the falsifier measures, and the move is a fraction of a 1.50% bar. The live 2Y is within 1bp of its Thursday market close (CNBC), so the front end has not moved since the 00Z settle. Crude: November
CLX26is about −0.7% against Thursday's settle on a live globex tick (Yahoo and CNBC@CL.1agree); that is direction only, not a settle. It follows Thursday's +2.7%. The yen is slightly firmer (USD/JPY about −0.2%).- evidence: Futures vs Thu settle (CNBC @SP.1 / @ND.1 / @DJ.1 = Yahoo ES=F / NQ=F / YM=F, ~06:25Z): +0.27 / +0.32 / +0.32%. CNBC US2Y −0.6bp vs Thu market close. Crude Nov live tick ≈ −0.7% vs Thu settle (CLX26 Yahoo = CNBC @CL.1 previous close), not a settle. USD/JPY −0.23%.
- uncertainty: 🟢 the futures and crude moves are two-sourced; 🟡 all of it is live and pre-payrolls, so it can reverse at 12:30Z; 🔵 futures are not the scored instrument.

🟡 PAYROLLS AT 12:30Z — the first top-tier print to land on a fresh leg, and what it can and cannot settle. The September Employment Situation is due at 12:30Z. Consensus depends on the survey: 84,000 jobs (Dow Jones, via CNBC) or 90,000 (Bloomberg's survey, published 09-26), with the unemployment rate expected to hold at 4.1% in both. The mechanics are fixed in advance. Only a strict >1.50% excursion off Thursday's declared closes fires an index, and a large surprise is not a fire. If an index fires, the 2Y is classed at today's 19:30Z CMT against the 00Z block's base: |Δ|≤3bp is INERT, ≥4bp is RESPONDED. No fire is a ninth LAPSE, worth no more than the first. What payrolls cannot settle: the frame holds that only a CPI or PCE print can disambiguate the AI-as-inflation axis. A jobs number moves the Fed path, but it is not that test. For Korea, payrolls and today's US session are priced only at Tue 10-06's close, across the long weekend (the sibling's read).
- evidence: BLS Employment Situation, Fri 10-02 12:30Z (schedule verified at 00Z; previews from CNBC and Bloomberg confirm the date). Consensus: Dow Jones 84k / Bloomberg 90k (09-26 article); UR 4.1%. Bars: >±1.50% off Thu 10-01 declared closes; 2Y class base = 10-02-00 block CMT; scores Mon 10-05 00Z.
- uncertainty: 🟢 the release time and the scoring rules are fixed; 🟡 the consensus differs by survey, and the Bloomberg figure is from its headline only; 🔵 whether the print moves anything enough to fire is untested until the session.

Watch — payrolls 12:30Z (consensus 84k–90k by survey, unemployment 4.1%) · today = fresh leg one at most (bars off Thu closes; scores Mon 10-05 00Z) · falsifier run 0 after eight lapses; a ninth is no more informative · Nikkei −0.94% Fri (after +1.94% and +3.30%) · Hang Seng live −2.7% on its reopen (not a close) · futures about +0.3%; crude Nov −0.7% live (not a settle) · Korea's last close before the three-day closure → sibling
