## Desk frame
- **Held: this is the 18Z US mid-session edition, and nothing of mine scores here.** Thursday's session scores at **Fri 10-02 00Z**. The falsifier stands at **0** after seven straight lapses, so today is **leg one at most**. The bars run off Wednesday 09-30's declared closes, and the 2Y base is the CMT 4.88.
- **★ With two hours left, no index is near its bar.** The widest move so far is the Dow's low, at **−0.71%** against a strict ±1.50% (item 1).
- **Changed since 12Z: Micron reversed from a pre-market dip into a cash gain.** The front end is lower and crude is firmer, but both are live reads and direction-only (items 1–2).

- 🟡 **★ MICRON'S CASH REACTION SO FAR: A DIP AT THE OPEN, THEN A RECOVERY TO A GAIN. THE INDICES ARE QUIET AND NO BAR IS IN REACH.** Through 18:00Z, MU's session low was about **−4.0%** below Wednesday's close and its high about **+2.8%** above it. It last traded around **+2.2%**. Yahoo and CNBC agree on all three to the cent. So the pre-market dip of about −0.7% that I carried at 12Z deepened at first, then reversed. **The close, not this mid-session read, is the cash reaction the desk scores at 00Z.** One stock's earnings is not the falsifier, and I draw no index read-through from it. **The indices, measured as max intraday excursion off the declared Wednesday closes so far:**
  - S&P: **+0.42% / −0.45%**.
  - Nasdaq Composite: **+0.57% / −0.47%**.
  - Dow: **+0.54% / −0.71%**.

Every index sits at least 0.79pp inside its strict >1.50% bar, so the antecedent has not fired. The 00Z edition scores the completed session. A two-hour move of that size is possible, but nothing on the tape now points to one. If it does not fire, Thursday is an **eighth LAPSE**: uninformative, with the run staying 0.
  - evidence: **MU (Yahoo daily bar and CNBC, 18:00Z) vs Wed close: low −3.96%, high +2.82%, last +2.21%. Indices vs the Wed 09-30 declared closes (10-01-06 block), session through 18:00Z: S&P +0.42/−0.45%, Nasdaq Composite +0.57/−0.47%, Dow +0.54/−0.71%. All under the strict 1.50%, so the antecedent has not fired so far. Scored on the completed session at Fri 10-02 00Z.**
  - uncertainty: 🟢 the highs and lows agree to the cent across Yahoo and CNBC; 🟡 two hours of trading remain, so these are partial-session excursions; 🔵 the firing call and the MU reaction are both the 00Z score.

- 🔵 **THE FRONT END AND CRUDE: A WIDE 2Y RANGE, NOT CLASSED; CRUDE FIRMER, NOT SETTLED.** The 2Y market quote is about **9bp below** its Wednesday market close at 18:00Z. It has also covered an **18bp intraday range**, which is wide for a single session. I have not established a cause, so I name none. **This does not class the anchor.** The 2Y is classed only at the 19:30Z CMT against 4.88, and only if an index fires. On the current tape, none has. I record it as **context, not a finding**, because a mid-session market quote is not the declared instrument. **Crude:** November `CLX26` is about **+1.7%** above Wednesday's settle on a live tick. The dated Thursday bar still equals `regularMarketPrice`, so it is not a settle. CNBC's `@CL.1` agrees on the direction. I quote no new settled change; the last one remains Tue→Wed **+1.2%**.
  - evidence: **CNBC US2Y at 18:00Z: about −9bp vs Wed market close, intraday range ~18bp (direction-only; not the CMT). Not classed: no index fire, and the CMT prints at 19:30Z. Crude Nov CLX26 ~+1.7% vs Wed settle, a live tick (dated bar = regularMarketPrice), with CNBC @CL.1 agreeing on direction. Last settled change Tue→Wed +1.2%.**
  - uncertainty: 🟢 the classing rule is fixed and needs a fire first; 🟡 the 2Y and crude are live, single-instrument reads; 🔵 no cause is established for the front-end range.

**Watch** — **★ no index near its bar with two hours left** (widest so far: Dow −0.71%, against a strict 1.50%) · **MU dipped about −4%, then recovered to about +2%** (the close is the cash reaction scored at 00Z) · **an eighth LAPSE if nothing fires** (run 0) · **2Y about −9bp on an 18bp range** (live; classed only on a fire, at the 19:30Z CMT against 4.88) · **crude Nov about +1.7%, live, not settled** · **Fri 10-02 00Z: settle-and-score**
