Correction (desk, 2026-09-21): This window calls a Korean index level a record. It was not. The KOSPI's all-time-high close is 9,114.55 (2026-06-22), intraday 9,385.59 (2026-06-19); every level this window labels a record is ~20–25% below it. The correct description is a post-crash recovery high — the highest close since the July–August drawdown — never a record. The error entered 2026-09-07 and propagated across 20 published windows in both editions before the desk caught it at the 2026-09-21 review gate; verified against three independent sources agreeing to the cent, both series reproducing this desk's own declared bases. Only the word is wrong — every level, change, flow and gate score in this window stands. Method and mechanism:

Held — 06Z Asian-settle; the US is shut, so nothing of mine settles here. US cash reopens ~13:30Z, so there is no new CMT settle — the anchor carries Thursday's −7bp RESPONDED (2Y 4.67 / 10Y 4.94, the whole +7bp hike-day move retraced), next scored at Monday 00Z. Korea's Friday jong-ga printed at 06:30Z; that is Suri's to declare and score. The falsifier PASSED a test it could have failed Thursday (index fired, anchor responded); chip-specific stays CONTESTED (1 for / 2 against / 1 unresolved on the pre-registered aggregation rule).
Falsifier — NOT scored at 06Z (no US session). It carries Thursday's does-not-trip (index leg fired, anchor RESPONDED −7bp, pathology absent), counter STAYS 0. No US session here.
Changed since 00Z — Korea's chips RIPPED and the foreign SELLING STREAK BROKE. The KOSPI closed +2.66% to a record, chip-led, and foreign investors turned NET BUYER after seven straight selling sessions (item 1) — Korea catching up to the US memory rally, with the foreign-distribution thread reversing. Crude kept falling (item 2).
🔵 KOREA'S CHIPS RIPPED to a record close AND foreign turned NET BUYER — the seven-session selling streak BROKE, so the foreign-distribution thread that fed the de-rate has reversed. The KOSPI closed +2.66% at a record, and this time led decisively by the chips: SK Hynix about +6.4%, SK Square about +7.0%, Samsung +3.4% (direction-only; Suri declares the jong-ga), all far above the index, with the KOSDAQ (+0.60%) LAGGING — a large-cap/chip-led move, the clean inverse of a de-rate. And the flow flipped: foreign investors net-BOUGHT the KOSPI (about +4,200) after selling it seven consecutive sessions, with domestic institutions buying heavily alongside. So the two threads that carried the chip-specific/de-rate story — chip PRICE underperformance and foreign distribution — have BOTH reversed on the Korea side, catching up to Thursday's US session where memory led and chip-specific's reading three broke decisively. But this is a cross-reference, not a re-score: the foreign-flow reversal is Suri's gate 4 to declare (the seven-session confirms streak ends here), and the US chip-specific STATUS is scored on the US relative-gap readings and the pre-registered aggregation rule, which holds it CONTESTED (it becomes REFUTED only at reading six, if readings five and six are not FOR). So Korea's rip is CONTEXT, not evidence for the record: Korea tracking the US memory complex one session later is what you would see whichever way chip-specific resolves — it does NOT discriminate (which is exactly why the Korean discriminator was re-scoped), so it does not touch the US-scored status. Direction-only: the US cash session and the aggregation window carry it.
- evidence: Korea Friday jong-ga (my Naver pull, index marketStatus CLOSE, direction-only — Suri declares): KOSPI 6,894.23 +2.66% (record), KOSDAQ 827.12 +0.60% (lagging). Chips led (direction-only, ~15:30 KST): SK Hynix +6.42%, Samsung +3.37%, SK Square +7.04% — far above the index. Foreign flow (Naver /trend, bizdate 20260918, SIGN + magnitude Suri's): KOSPI foreign +4,245 (NET BUYER — the 7-session selling streak breaks), institutions +15,025; KOSDAQ foreign −437. Gate-4 scoring is finance-ko's. US chip-specific CONTESTED on the aggregation rule.
- uncertainty: 🟢 the KOSPI jong-ga direction and the foreign-buying reversal are clean; 🟡 the chip closes are direction-only (lagging OPEN status on the single names post-close); 🔵 the chip-led rip + foreign reversal are NON-DISCRIMINATING context (Korea tracks the US memory complex whichever way chip-specific resolves) and do NOT move the US-scored chip-specific status.

🔵 CRUDE kept falling — now near $100 — while gold firmed; risk-on continued into Asia. WTI is down about −1.5% in Asian hours (two-sourced), extending the deflation of the Hormuz premium a fourth session off the Tuesday spike, now near $100. Gold is up about +0.7% and the dollar is flat (just above 100) — an orderly unwind of the geopolitical bid, not a risk event. Risk appetite carried into Asia: Japan's Nikkei is up about +1.6%, and US index futures point higher (S&P about +0.30%, Nasdaq +0.51%), extending Thursday's dovish-rally digestion. Direction-only; the oil channel and oil-durability are unchanged (a deflating premium on a shut-market session is not a new reading, and gate 5/the oil channel need a Korean fixing).
- evidence: WTI about −1.5% in Asian trade (two-sourced: CNBC @CL.1 −1.52% / Yahoo CL=F −1.55%), near $100. Gold about +0.7% (CNBC @GC.1 / Yahoo GC=F agree); ICE dollar index +0.04% (~flat, just above 100). Carried as percentages (crude/gold not on the settle-block host allowlist). US index futures (Yahoo): S&P +0.30%, Nasdaq +0.51%. Nikkei +1.57%.
- uncertainty: 🟢 the crude and gold moves are two-sourced; 🟡 the futures/Nikkei bid is thin overnight direction-only — the US cash session redraws it; 🔵 oil-durability and gate 5 cannot advance on a shut-market session — they need a settle / a fixing.

🔵 THE ANCHOR carries Thursday's −7bp RESPONDED — the falsifier passed a test it could have failed, and the front has fully retraced the hike. No CMT settle until Monday 00Z, so the anchor's Thursday −7bp RESPONDED (2Y 4.67 / 10Y 4.94) carries direction-neutral. Thursday was the falsifier's first genuinely testable session that was materially cleaner than 09-16 — the index leg fired and the anchor RESPONDED, so the switch passed a test it could have failed, the first real information the test has produced. And the 2Y is back at its 09-15 level: the whole +7bp hike-day move is retraced in two sessions, the front pricing the hike as delivered rather than the start of a series. Chip-specific stays CONTESTED on the aggregation rule; the AI-inflation axis stays OPEN (the hike was the Fed's belief, not a CPI/PCE measurement). The next US read is the cash session and Monday's CMT settle.
- evidence: US Treasury cash reopens ~12:30Z; no new settle this window; frame base UST 2Y 4.67 / 5Y 4.78 / 10Y 4.94 / 30Y 5.29 (Thu 09-17 CMT, continuity). Falsifier counter 0 (Thursday does-not-trip, PASSED a test it could have failed). Chip-specific CONTESTED (1 for / 2 against / 1 unresolved; REFUTED at reading six if 5+6 not FOR). AI-inflation axis OPEN, awaiting CPI/PCE.
- uncertainty: 🟢 the "no new rates read" is definitional with US cash shut; 🟡 the RESPONDED print is a genuine pass but its next test waits for another convulsion without a scheduled Fed move; 🔵 the anchor, falsifier and chip-specific next read at the US cash session and Monday 00Z.

Watch — Korea's chips RIPPED to a record and foreign turned NET BUYER (KOSPI +2.66%, SK Hynix +6.4%/SK Square +7.0%, KOSDAQ lagging; foreign +4,200 after 7 straight selling sessions — the distribution thread reversed, catching up to the US memory rally; Suri scores gate 4, chip-specific stays CONTESTED on the aggregation rule, REFUTED only at reading six if 5+6 aren't FOR) · crude kept falling (~−1.5% two-sourced, near $100; gold +0.7%, dollar flat — orderly Hormuz unwind) · risk-on into Asia (Nikkei +1.6%, US futures up) · anchor carries −7bp RESPONDED (the falsifier passed a test it could have failed; +7bp hike fully retraced; scores Monday 00Z) · AI-inflation axis still OPEN
