Held — 00Z settle-and-frame; this window SCORES Wednesday 09-09 off the 20:00Z CMT and the cash closes. These are settled verdicts, not intraday reads — the score belongs to 00Z, superseding the 18Z live ticks. Korea reopened at 00:00Z but its jong-ga and won fixing are both 06:30Z events (Suri's, next window), so nothing Korean settles here.
Falsifier — Wed 09-09 scores UNTESTABLE; counters STAY 0/0. The index leg did NOT fire: max intraday excursions off Tuesday's declared settles were S&P 0.64%, Nasdaq 0.90%, Dow 0.89%, all on the LOW side, all well inside the ±1.50% strict bar. The session is complete, so this is a real verdict, not an 18Z lower bound — each low was set before 18:00Z and never extended (the S&P closed above its own low). Counters STAY 0/0 — already-zero, not a RESET (nothing was pending). And the anchor RESPONDED (+4bp, below), so the pathology's inert-anchor leg was ALSO absent — doubly untestable. Earliest a trip can complete is today plus Friday, scored Monday 00Z.
Changed since 18Z — the settle reversed the intraday on rates, and confirmed it on the tape. The 2Y that read ~+1.7bp "inert" live settled +4bp — the anchor responded (item 1). The crude-gold divergence I deferred at 18Z is now ESTABLISHED on one basis and it SHARPENED (item 2). And the memory analogues held their bid into the close, resolving the Astra gap toward Korea — where the open is already transmitting it (item 3).
🟢 RATES — the anchor RESPONDED at the settle (+4bp) where the intraday read inert; the falsifier is UNTESTABLE regardless. The score first: the index leg did not fire (max excursion Nasdaq 0.90% vs the ±1.50% bar), so Wednesday 09-09 is UNTESTABLE, counters STAY 0/0. The settle news is the anchor. At 18Z the live 2Y read ~+1.7bp — "inert territory," I wrote — but the CMT settled 2Y 4.43, +4bp, and the score belongs to the settle (the intraday has been wrong in both directions before). Under the frame's standing forward rule (|Δ| ≥ 4bp = RESPONDED, pre-committed 2026-08-31, its tie-break set to make the positive finding harder, the same rule that scored 09-03), +4bp reads as RESPONDED — the anchor's first response since 09-03. That supersedes the frame's "inert twice running" line — a reconciliation the desk owns and is making, so I flag it rather than edit it. Nothing in the falsifier score turns on it: the pathology needs an inert anchor AND a violent tape, neither present today. What moved it: the whole curve cheapened +3 to +4bp on a mildly-red tape — a curve-wide repricing, not an equity-rout response.
- evidence: CMT settle Wed 09-09 (declared above): 2Y 4.43 / 5Y 4.61 / 10Y 4.83 / 30Y 5.28, moves +4 / +4 / +3 / +3bp. Index closes S&P −0.48%, Nasdaq −0.64%, Dow −0.77% — a shallow, orderly red tape. Max excursions (closes vs Tuesday's) S&P 0.64%, Nasdaq 0.90%, Dow 0.89%, all low-side, lows set pre-18:00Z and not extended; the bars are ±115.10 / ±396.32 / ±791.79. All three closes two-sourced (CNBC, Yahoo, matched to the cent); CMT is my own Treasury pull, its 09-08 row 4.39/4.57/4.80/5.25 = our Tuesday base, chain clean.
- uncertainty: 🟢 the +4bp is a hard CMT settle, clearing the ≥4bp cut cleanly; the index no-fire is a completed-session verdict; 🟡 the INERT-streak narrative is the desk's to reconcile — I carry the rule's reading and flag it; 🔵 the curve-wide selloff is not pinned to one catalyst, and it landed on a shallow-red tape, not a rout.

🟢 CRUDE-GOLD — the divergence is now ESTABLISHED on one settled basis and it SHARPENED; supply-not-systemic confirmed. The curve shape cannot adjudicate the oil-durability question. Both legs have now settled for Wednesday 09-09 off Tuesday's settle, so the comparison is finally clean and same-basis: crude +3.25%, gold +0.49% — crude sharply outpaced gold, widening its lead from 12Z's +2.4% vs +0.36%. The discriminator holds hard at the settle: gold up only +0.49%, Treasuries SOLD across the curve (+3 to +4bp), the dollar soft — a systemic-fear bid buys all three, and two of the three point the wrong way, so this is an oil-supply premium, not fear, now established rather than merely qualitative. This resolves what 18Z deferred: the "unestablished on different settle-date bases" call was a field mis-read — the percentage comparison keys on the prior-close field, Tuesday's settle for BOTH legs (our 12Z window carried both bases as Tuesday), not the settle-date field I checked — so the comparison was legitimate and the 12Z read was right. On oil-to-rates durability, the settle refuses to adjudicate: the 30Y-minus-10Y differential change is exactly 0.0bp and front-versus-long is +4 vs +3 = 1.0bp — both inside CMT quantisation, below the >1.0bp the frame requires — so the long-end lead is UNRESOLVED, an absence of measurement, not a measurement of absence. Oil-durability gets no support and no refutation here.
- evidence: WTI settled +3.25% off Tuesday's settle (CNBC @CL.1, CLV26; Yahoo CL=F corroborates the move, same contract). Gold settled +0.49% off Tuesday (CNBC @GC.1, GCZ26). Both same-contract, settle-to-settle, same Tuesday base — the frame base carries the absolute settles. UST +3 to +4bp across the curve (declared above); dollar soft (DXY off fractionally, roughly flat on the day, live). Catalyst standing: US–Iran/Hormuz escalation; Brent reported above $100 (attributed — Brent stays UNRESOLVED as a settle, feeds disagree ~$4). Kinetic events attributed to each side, damage unverified.
- uncertainty: 🟢 the divergence is same-contract, settle-to-settle, same Tuesday base for both legs — robust, and the haven-leg discriminator is hard off the dollar and Treasuries; 🟡 the 12Z "sharpening" is vindicated and the 18Z withdrawal reversed as a field mis-read; 🔵 the curve shape is genuinely unresolvable at 1bp quantisation, so oil-durability is neither confirmed nor refuted and waits on a larger move or the FOMC.

🟢 MEMORY ANALOGUES held their bid into the close on a red index — the Astra gap resolves toward Korea, and Korea's open is already transmitting it. The 18Z read (Micron and SanDisk up while the index is red) survived the settle — the intraday floor did not fade, the check the close demands. Micron closed +2.75% (firmer than 18Z's +2.36%) and SanDisk +1.51% (eased from +1.83% but solidly up) against a red tape (S&P −0.48%, Nasdaq −0.64%, Dow −0.77%). The wider AI complex stayed MIXED, not a category move: Nvidia −0.91% and Broadcom −1.13% down, AMD +3.04% up (a compute/accelerator designer, not a memory maker — still the counterexample to any memory-versus-provider cut), the PHLX Semiconductor index only +0.37%. So the demand showed up in the memory names and the drag was elsewhere — resolving the Astra gap toward Korea on settled data. Suri's Korea reopen confirms the transmission: foreign net buying the chip names (SK Hynix ~+1.7%), the KOSDAQ rotation reversing, the foreign-flow question leaning tactical — direction-only, scoring at the 06:30Z jong-ga on Suri's beat. Korea transmitted the NAMES, not the Dow.
- evidence: Closes: Micron 1,027.77 +2.75%, SanDisk 1,764.17 +1.51%; Nvidia 223.67 −0.91%, Broadcom 364.38 −1.13%, AMD 521.10 +3.04%; PHLX Semiconductor +0.37%. Korea (Suri, 00Z, open reads, direction-only, marketStatus OPEN): KOSPI about +0.2%, SK Hynix about +1.7% leading, KOSDAQ about −1.1% lagging, foreign net buying; base holds the Wednesday record 7,051.64. Jong-ga and won fixing both 06:30Z (Suri's, next window).
- uncertainty: 🟢 the memory close is settled and held (Micron even firmed); the complex-is-mixed split is clean (AMD up, Nvidia and Broadcom down); 🟡 the Korea read-through is direction-only at the open and scores at the 06:30Z jong-ga, Suri's; 🔵 what specifically dragged the index is still unnamed — only that it was not the memory names.
